My top spot is whakapirau
Because it is really cool for spending time on the hills and catching big fish. It is a great place for making memories to stay with you forever. It is just magical. I caught my first big fish a 34 Cm snapper . And then a 43 kg king fish .
The flicker of a tail in the glistening water the wind curved the waves . slapping against the boats. The smell of fish bait filled the air. Sitting down with the rod the waves gently tilt the rod. The line hidden from site by it’s color . The fish scales glisten in the sun the warm breeze washes over my rod.

I love fishing.

Well that's my experience, did I mention I love fishing.

To kick. Learn from the waves as they pound the sand.
To glide. Learn from the birds that circle their food admiring it.
To score. Learn from the squirrels that nibble on nuts.
To win. Learn from the dolphins that work as a team circling their prey they wing as a team.
To pace. Learn from the snack that paces to another and back.

2016 road patrol day out.
The car brakes hit gravel, sending stones everywhere. I hop out looking at my surroundings.
I thank my parent helper for the ride. I climb up the stairs some people come past giggling at something, don’t look at them I think this is going to be fun I have Mitchell and Max with me nothing can go wrong.
Being a road patroler was tough work but We were given a day out to acknowledge the dedication and hard work we all did. It was a Wipra activity so some people from other schools were there.
The powerful jet engine sprays high pressure water. Sending the jet ski propelling forward. 56 kilometers,78 kilometers , 83 kilometers. Violently the jet ski turns left sending a wall of water at both sides. Turning round going over our waves the jet ski bumps up and down like an angry bull bucking us trying to kick us off. Curving around corners one way then an other going over our previous waves. Holding on tight for dear life why did I say yes I feel like I am being shaken up side down. We reach the shore and I feel great after jumping of in the middle of the ocean.

My mountain my home stands tall.
Casting a shadow to the wall.
My mountain stands proud.
It’s tattooed arms reach out stealing the sunlight.
My mountain stretches miles protecting its child…
MY mountain my home Pirongia.
The challenges you face start here .
Getting to the top can be tough.
But at the end of the day you will make it and look back.
How far you have come all to this day.
Reaching the summit the Pirongian way.
